Prep Softball: Rock Ridge & Chisago Lakes Set to Faceoff in Section 7AAA Semifinal Round

The section 7AAA softball quarterfinal round took place at Braun Park on Thursday. 

CLOQUET, Minn.- The section 7AAA softball quarterfinal round took place at Braun Park on Thursday.

The second seed Cloquet Lumberjacks squared off against the third seed Rock Ridge Wolverines.

The Wolverines dominated at the plate, defeating the Lumberjacks 6 to 3 to secure a spot in the semifinal round.

On the other side of the bracket, the Hermantown Hawks and the Chisago Lakes Wildcats faced off for the last semifinal spot.

It was a back and forth battle between the Wildcats and the Hawks.

Unfortunately, the Wildcats walked away with the victory, defeating the Hawks 4 to 3.

Rock Ridge and Chisago Lakes are set to meet in the semifinal round on Tuesday, May 27th in Hermantown.

Game time is at 3 p.m.

Both Cloquet and Hermantown fell to the elimination bracket.
