Super One Foods Presents Check to Animal Allies from Pet Month Round-Up Campaign
DULUTH, Minn. — Animals Allies received some much needed relief from Miner’s Super One Foods. Earlier on Thursday, they were presented with a check of more than $25,000 as part of their pet month campaign.
Between the end of April and the beginning of May, shoppers at local Super Ones rounded up their totals at cash registers to support local animal shelters. This year Animal Allies received $25,254 check.
The money will help aid Animal Allies with their day-to-day operations. This includes buying food, medication, and operating procedures on the animals while they await adoption.
Animal Allies helps over 1,300 animals find their forever homes each year.
Earlier this year, the shelter experienced some financial set-backs when in January their pipes bursts and flooded a few of their recreational and administrative rooms. A set-back that the shelter is about to overcome.

“We’re finally in the home stretch of getting everything taken care of just this week which is really cool,” Nicole Facciotto, the adoption manager. “We’re heading into our busy summer camp season and that space is really important not only for the kids, but to have extra enrichment room for the animals. We’re really thankful that that is finally getting wrapped up. Again that was an unexpected cost for this year so partnerships like this are super helpful.”
This was the 3rd year that Super One Foods fundraised money for local animal shelters. In the campaign’s history they have raised over $80,000. This year the campaign help support 18 animal shelters across their company’s outreach.
