Grand Rapids Baseball Tops Hermantown in Section 7AAA Quarterfinal Round

The Thunderhawks defended their home field defeating the Hawks 2 to 1. 

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn.- The Grand Rapids baseball team welcomed in the Hermantown Hawks in the section 7AAA quarterfinal round on Thursday night.

A low-scoring affair between Grand Rapids and Hermantown, but in the end, the Thunderhawks defended their home field defeating the Hawks 2 to 1.

Grand Rapids secures a spot in the section 7AAA semifinal round, where they will face Rock Ridge on Saturday, May 31st.

First pitch is at noon.

For Hermantown, the move to the elimination bracket. The Hawks will face Cloquet on Saturday, May 31st.
