Minnesota Safety Koi Perich Named to Lott Trophy Watch List

Perich and the Gophers open the year on August 28th against Buffalo.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- His sophomore season may have not started just yet. But, Esko native and Minnesota safety Koi Perich has already landed on a watch list for an impressive award.

Perich was one of the 42 players named to the Lott Trophy Watch List.

The Lott Trophy is awarded annually to the nation’s top defensive player.

In his debut season, #3 played in all 13 games. He had 46 tackles, one forced fumble, and five interceptions.

Perich and the Gophers open the year on August 28th against Buffalo.
