Coffee Conversation: LOON Celebrates 20 Seasons with “Die Fledermaus”

DULUTH, Minn. — The Lyric Opera of the North is raising the curtain on a milestone—its 20th anniversary season—with a new production of Die Fledermaus.

Conductor Dirk Meyer and star baritone Lee Gregory joined Fox 21’s morning newscast Wednesday to share more about the upcoming production.

The operetta, filled with bubbles, waltzes, and masked ball mischief, holds special meaning for the company—it was featured in LOON’s very first event two decades ago.

Now, it’s returning in full theatrical splendor for two performances only at the historic NorShor Theatre in downtown Duluth.

Catch the show Friday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, June 15 at 3:00 p.m. The production will be sung in English, with English supertitles projected above the stage.

Reserved seating is $59, $49, or $39. Student tickets are just $12.
