Garfield Avenue On-Ramp to I-535 Blatnik Bridge Closingfor Construction Access
DULUTH, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has announced that the Wisconsin-bound on-ramp from Garfield Avenue to the I-535 Blatnik Bridge will close beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
The closure is part of ongoing work to complete the Garfield interchange and is intended to improve construction access and ensure the safety of workers on-site. MnDOT has not specified an exact reopening date but stated the ramp will remain closed until later this year.
During this time, Garfield Avenue and the Minnesota-bound exit ramp from I-535 to Garfield Avenue will remain open.
Drivers traveling to Wisconsin are advised to plan alternate routes and follow detour signage. MnDOT encourages motorists to stay alert and use caution in all work zones.
