Chris Adatte announces run for Duluth City Council
DULUTH, Minn. – Business Owner Chris Adatte has announced he’s running for Duluth City Council.
He’s running for the seat for District Two.
Adatte says one important thing that he wants to do is to provide good reasons, meaning jobs. for UMD and St. Scholastica students to stay in Duluth after graduation.
He wants them to stay local and not look for work in the Twin Cities, “Pick-up the pace and be open for business. Excite people that have resources. development groups. companies to come here and open-up shop, build, invest in the community, create jobs, that kind of thing.”
Adatte says the plan would also provide more economic security for Duluth, “That’s what’s going to get us through a potentially economic downturn.”
Adette works in construction and thinks his experience can help the city work even better with people looking to building in Duluth.
“I would like to serve as some sort of a bridge between. I work in construction, so if i could get on the other side, bring the parties together, open up the conversation, see where we’re struggling. What we could do better? I think I’ve heard, as we all have over the years, that Duluth is somewhat anti-business friendly. I’d like to change that narrative.”
Adatte says you should soon see his yards signs around town.
He is running against Diane Desotelle and Peirre Tournier also have officially filed to run for the seat being vacated by Mike Mayou.
