Hermantown Track and Academic Star is Statebound

HERMANTOWN, Minn. — One recent Hermantown High School graduate has made her mark both in the classroom, and on the race track as well.

Adaeze Enemuoh is full steam ahead toward many milestones. Earlier in the season, she broke a 20 year old school record in the 100 meter dash. In addition, she was also named Track and Field MVP, and an All-State Academic Award recipient.

But coming up later this week, she qualified to participate in the 100 and 400 meter dash State meet. And through these accomplishments, she says there’s a lot to reflect on.

“I’m so excited I think all the nerves have passed, and I’m just ready, I know I put in the work, and I’m just ready to see what I can do down there,” said Enemuoh, state track meet particiant. “My parents are always there to support me. They are amazing. They’re on my rock whenever they can. They’ll drive hours to come watch me run at a meet. So I would say that they are my number one fans, and I just love seeing them at my meets. And they really push me to do my best.”

Adaeze is also the only female in the school that will be participating in this track meet.
