Five Local Athletes Earn Top Three Finishes at Minnesota State Track & Field
In Section A, Two Harbors Trinity Giddings took home a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash.
ALBERTVILLE, Minn.- The final day of the Minnesota State Track and Field meet took place on Thursday.
Five local standouts finished in the top three in their respective events.
In Section A, Two Harbors Trinity Giddings took home a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash, with a time of 56.50 seconds.
Right behind her was Violet Udovich from Ely. Who clocked a time of 56.84 seconds.
In the Boys 100-meter dash, Mesabi East’s Evan James places 3rd with a time of 11.11 seconds.
Over in section AA, Hermantown’s Martin Sleen took 2nd in the 200-meter dash, with
a time of 21.83.
In the girls 300-meter hurdles Cloquet sophomore Makenzie Lynch placed third with a time of 43.66 seconds.
