Former UMD Goaltender Maddie Rooney Staying Put with Minnesota Frost

Rooney's contract runs through the 2027-2028 season, making her the only Frost player signed through that year.

ST. PAUL, Minn.- Former UMD Goaltender Maddie Rooney is staying in the state of Minnesota.

On Tuesday, the Olympic gold medalist re-signed with the Minnesota Frost on a three-year contract extension.

Since her PWHL debut in the 2023 season, Rooney has posted 13 wins, four shutouts, a 2.08 goals against average, and lastly a .910 saves percentage.

Her contract runs through the 2027-2028 season, making her the only Frost player signed through that year.
