Popular ‘Hairball’ Rock Cover Band Celebrates 25 Years

DULUTH, Minn.– In a few short weeks, a longtime performer at Bayfront Park is gearing up to ‘Party in the Park’ once more.

Alongside celebrating rock and roll, ‘Hairball’ is hitting a major milestone.

For a quarter of a century, ‘Hairball’ has been rocking the nation.

Getting their start at small bars, their band covers favorites such as ‘Motley Crue’ and ‘Ozzy Osbourne’.

Coming up on July 3rd, they will be putting on their highly anticipated ‘Party in the Park’ show at Bayfront.

At this show, ‘Hairball’ celebrates Independance Day. With their version of the National Anthem, and an opportunity to highlight veterans for their service.

That being said, after all these years, one member says there’s something to look back at fondly… and celebrate at each show.

“I know the joy of watching their parents see the smile on their six-year-old kid’s face holding my guitar. I know the joy of seeing three generations of people sitting in the front row singing Rock and Roll all night and party every day. I know the joy of having veterans who may be three times my size, cry in my arms because they’ve survived cancer with me, because they’re so happy that somebody acknowledged their service and they got to have the spotlight, and they knew people care. That’s the payoff for what hairball does. That’s the biggest payoff that we have,” said Michael “Happy” Schneider, Lead Guitarist for Hairball.
