Minnesota Discovery Center Open for Summer

CHISHOLM, Minn. – The Minnesota Discovery Center’s outdoor recreation area in Chisholm is open for the summer season.

The Center might look different this summer, as it underwent renovations last fall. This gave it a light refresh that enhances the experience while keeping its classic charm. Visitors can enjoy the updated scenery and the full lineup of outdoor activities.

“The effect of having really kind of a one-stop experience here is important because not only are we going to be able to engage people with the museum and the exhibits,” said Gary Kaunonen, education program and recreation manager, Minnesota Discovery Center. “Esthetically, they can come and just really enjoy the landscape, but then also recreationally.”

The Minnesota Discovery Center is looking at introducing some remote control boats that visitors can use in the ponds, complementing the mini golf course, which is open through November.
