Female Stabbed To Death In Duluth’s Lincoln Park
DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth police are investigating after a female was stabbed to death Saturday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred in the 600 block of North 27th Avenue West.
“Upon arrival, a female was located deceased with stab wounds. Lifesaving measures were attempted but unsuccessful,” according to a news release.
The male suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.
As for 8:50 p.m., officers were searching for the vehicle and are requesting assistance from other agencies.
The male and female are known to each other, according to police.
At 9 p.m., Carlton County Fire News told FOX 21 that the suspect had been arrested on I-35.
“We can confirm he was pulled over by the State Patrol, Pine County, and Carlton County at Mile Marker 195 southbound of I35 about fifteen minutes ago. DPD is in route to secure the vehicle as evidence from the stabbing may still be inside,” according to Carlton County Fire News.
At 9:20 p.m., a spokesperson with the Duluth Police Department confirmed the suspect was arrested without incident on I-35 in Pine County.
