53rd Annual Park Point Art Fair Returns

DULUTH, Minn. – This weekend marked the 53rd annual Park Point art fair

People gathered at the annual art fair held at the Park Point recreation area for a weekend of celebration. This lively event is the region’s longest-running art fair held outdoors, and it features food, live music, demonstrations,
family activities, and a variety of handmade arts, ensuring something fun for everyone.

“I think there are about 80 different artists set up out here, everything from woodworkers to ceramics jewelers, and so to see people make things, to watch someone actively create something with their own two hands is just a really magical thing,” said Justin Williams, owner of Spice Traders Music.

The art fair gives local artists from across Minnesota a chance to share their work and highlight the lasting value of handmade craftsmanship.

“I think it’s great,” said Joe Dufresne, attendee. “It’s like this community of artists, I think that probably get to know each other after a while, and I think it’s great that they have this opportunity. The artists just love to talk about their stuff, so there’s not really any pressure to purchase anything. It’s they just like being talked about because they just lay love there and what they do. So that’s kind of that’s always kind of enjoyable.”

The art fair stood through rain and shine all weekend long, allowing everyone to enjoy some fantastic Minnesota art.
