Two Harbors Heritage Days: 4 Days of Fun!

TWO HARBORS, Minn.–Two Harbors heritage days kicked off yesterday, and the party is scheduled to continue all weekend.

Today is day two of the annual event.

This festival boasts a four-day arts and crafts show, stage entertainment, a street dance, and two parades.

With all the activities and events, there’s something for everyone.

The fun brings in thousands of locals and tourists to the area.

One organizer said things could get a little stinky.

“Today, right here, just about where I’m standing, we’re going to have a lutefisk toss. And people all ages can come out and watch them, fly fish, throw fish. They’re going to get stinky, it’s going to get messy, but everybody has fun,” said Cheryl Sundstrom, Chairman for Heritage Days.

They’re also celebrating quite a milestone with some of the city’s residents.

During the parade on Saturday, the class of 1975 will showcase their class reunion.

Even though they are in their upper 60’s, they still feel like teenagers.

And, for some of the younger folks, they are ready to tackle anything at the festival.

“Honestly, no expectations, but this is fun. It’s very family friendly, and yeah, we honestly just got here, so we’re excited to explore the bouncy houses and go and eat and listen to some music,” said Kelsi Winkelman, attending the festival with family and friends.
