Bong Bridge Undergoing Repairs, Will Remain Open

SUPERIOR, Wis. – Governor Tony Evers has approved $6.3 million rehabilitation project for the Bong Bridge.

Some of the projects include painting the center span, replacing lighting, new pavement markings, and repairing and sealing concrete.

It will remain open with at least one lane of traffic each way, but ramps will close at various times for the repairs.

Construction is expected to begin July 21st

The project is scheduled to finish late November ahead of the Blatnik bridge replacement.Bong 1
