FDLTCC Celebrates 15th Annual Scholarship Event
Fond du Lac, Minn.– The Fond du Lac Tribal Community College didn’t let yesterday’s rain stop their event.
And with some adjustments, it was all okay, in Cloquet.
The community came together to help support student scholarships.
Instead of the typical croquet event, the college switched gears to a taco lunch.
The mission remained the same, helping raise money for students since 2021.
65 students have received scholarships since then, and an impressive $130,000 given to students.
“We just really love supporting our students. This college is such an asset to the whole community. We’re so lucky to have this beautiful campus, fantastic instructors. It’s just a top-notch school. We’re lucky to have it. We want to support it. We want to support the students and keep them coming back,” said Kate Mason, FDLTCC Chair.
Typically for this event, 20 teams play croquet at the Cloquet country club to raise money.
They’re hoping next year’s weather will bring in the anticipated fun.
