Starbase Announces ‘STEM on Tap’ Fundraiser

DULUTH, Minn. — Starbase Minnesota is a very popular STEM learning program that lets kids learn through play, and now they are letting adults in on the action.

Tuesday, August 19th, they’ll be holding STEM on Tap, an adult focused session of the program at Clyde Iron Works.

Adults will do the same activities that 5th graders typically get to do, while also sipping on signature cocktails and make new friends.

“I hope adults will really get to not forget the playful aspect of STEM and what that looks like as a child or as an adult. Sometimes we forget about that, that you know, ‘learning is play’ component, or ‘play is learning’. And so, we think that this event will really kind of instill, that it will be an opportunity for people to network, to socialize in a really fun environment and have some fun with STEM while they’re doing it.” said Charity Johnson, Director of Starbase, Minnesota – Duluth.

Proceeds will benefit the non-profit arm of Starbase supporting students and programming.

The event is from 5:30 to 8pm, Tuesday, August 19, in the Clyde Iron Works Event Room.

General Registration is $50.

Space is limited so signing up early is recommended!
