Wanted Man Arrested In Greysolon Apartments After Standoff

DULUTH, Minn. — The Greysolon Apartments in downtown Duluth became the center of a standoff Monday.

Duluth police said a 37-year-old man wanted for felony domestic assault barricaded himself in a bedroom of an apartment.

The man was originally arrested Friday for the alleged assault.

But at some point Friday, police said he fled a local hospital while in custody.

Monday’s standoff ended peacefully after the Tactical Response Team breached the bedroom door.

Officials said the man was taken back to the hospital for an evaluation Monday before being taken to the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of domestic assault and obstructing.

The female victim was treated on scene Friday for her injuries.
