Perich Named to Nagurski Trophy Watch List

Perich is one of 60 players named to the list and is the only player from Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- If the day ends in d-a-y it’s likely that Esko native and Minnesota safety Koi Perich has racked up another honor.

That trend continued Tuesday when Perich landed on the watch list for the Nagurski Trophy.

The Nagurski Trophy is given annually to the top defensive player in the country.

Perich is one of 60 players named to the list and is the only player from Minnesota.

He’s set to begin his sophomore season on August 28th when Minnesota hosts Buffalo in their season and home opener. Kick-off is at 7 PM.
