St. Scholastica & Mankato State Launches Engineering Dual Degree Pathway
DULUTH, Minn.– The College of Saint Scholastica is partnering with Minnesota State Mankato to launch a new engineering program partnership.
This dual pathway program is giving students the chance to earn a degree in both natural science and also integrated engineering.
This is the first dual degree pathway of its kind. The five year long degree covers two and a half years at Scholastica, covering the basics such as physics and mathematics.
After that, students will head up north to participate in hands on learning for Iron Range Engineering in Virginia Minnesota.
St. Scholastica staff told FOX 21, this will not only cater to niche interests’ students have, but it will also benefit the workforce.
“This is a true partnership between multiple institutions, really for the benefit of providing students choice and options. And so, we’re really proud of, of how, how powerful this option will be for students who will earn two different degrees, two different institutions in an accelerated timeline. So, for those students looking for that option, it’s real, and it’s going to be a powerful thing for students in the future,” said Ryan Sandefer, Vice President for Academic Affairs, & Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at The College of St. Scholastica.
At this time, the dual degree itself is officially launched.
Any incoming students who are interested in this opportunity has the greenlight to enroll for this.
Staff said, they’re also open to answer any questions with this program.
