UMD’s Henderson & Messier Named to Canada’s National Development Team

It's not the first national team stint for both players as they have previously donned a Canada sweater in recent years.

DULUTH, Minn.- Two members of the current UMD women’s hockey team have been named to Canada’s National Development Team.

Ashley Messier and Tova Henderson make up the 23 players that are set to represent the Great White North in their upcoming three-game series against Team USA.

It’s not the first national team stint for both players as they have previously donned a Canada sweater in recent years.

The Summer Series goes from August 13th through the 16th in Lake Placid, New York.
