Harbor Monsters Begin Playoff Push for Back-to-Back ArenaMania Championships

The Harbor Monsters will host the Lunkers in the ArenaMania semifinal round on Saturday.

DULUTH, Minn.- A little bit of Deja Vu for the Duluth Harbor Monsters as they will face the Ozarks Lunkers for the second consecutive week, but this time its win or go home.

The Harbor Monsters will host the Lunkers in the ArenaMania semifinal round on Saturday.

Last weekend Duluth wrapped up their regular season with a dominate win against Ozarks, earning the defending ArenaMania champions the top seed in the postseason.

Despite securing home field advantage in the playoffs, the team understands they need to play their best in the postseason.

“We already know it won’t be a cake walk, it won’t be easy. It’s not like we expect to go in there and just casually put 70 points. We’ve been working hard and keep working hard and keep doing what we always do. We expect the same thing that we always expect because of the way we work. Obviously, we love playing in front of our fans. To me in this league home field advantage is a big deal,” said Harbor Monsters quarterback Ja’Vonte Johnson.

The Harbor Monsters are ready to defend their title in front of their home fans.

“Playing here in Duluth. Where else would you want to play the championship rather than your home field. Being at an advantage, rather than playing in other places where we have to fight against the refs, fight against the crowd. So, I love playing here in Duluth,” said Harbor Monsters safety De’ron Maxwell.

The Harbor Monsters and the Lunkers face off in their playoff match on Saturday, August 2nd.

Game time is at 7 p.m.
