Traffic Stop Ends With 2 Handguns Off Streets Of Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. – Two handguns are off the streets of Duluth after police conducted a traffic stop on Sunday.

The stop happened while an officer was investigating a case of vehicle prowl and credit card fraud.

The officer located the 25-year-old suspect from Cloquet driving in the area of 2nd Avenue West and Superior Street.

The traffic stop was made.

A search of the vehicle found two handguns.

Police said one of the guns was previously reported as stolen.

The suspect was taken to the St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of fraud.
