Daughter Of Missing Superior Woman Desperate For Answers
SUPERIOR, Wis.– There is an urgent and ongoing search for Corrine Johansen, a 40-year-old mother in Superior who went missing nearly a week ago.
Johansen’s daughter, Chloe, is leading the search efforts.
Over the weekend, family and friends helped search in areas Johansen visits often, like the Superior Dog Park and Wisconsin Point.
“I have people today going out to the point and going with drones and just going all over town and helping,” said Chloe Ksicinski, Johansen’s daughter.
Several sightings have been reported since then, but Chloe says they’ve all turned up nothing.
“I appreciate the support a lot. Um, that’s like, been the most help recently, all like my friends and my family and everybody on Facebook, especially Joanie, she’s been helping me the most. And yeah, I really appreciate the help and the support looking around for my mom,” said Ksicinkski
The Superior Police Department said Johansen was last seen wearing a black or dark blue tank top and gray sweatpants, running toward the Superior high school.
Security camera footage from outside Johansen’s apartment showed her leaving the building by jumping from a second-story balcony without shoes, according to police.
“We think it might have just been like a mental crisis. She was just like not speaking fluently, and she was just seeming like kind of delirious and out of it, and just saying random things that weren’t making sense. She was saying that the neighbors behind us were crazy, but they didn’t do anything,” explained Ksicinkski.
Johansen’s information has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person, ensuring that law enforcement across the country will notify the Superior Police Department if she is located.
“I really thank everybody for everybody’s help, and you guys too for getting the word out. And I just really hope that we can find her,” added Kscinkski.
At this time, Kscinkski is providing updates on her mother’s Facebook page, including new search events and details about a $1,000 reward for Johansen’s safe return home.
Chloe has also set up a GoFundMe account to raise a goal of $1,000 that will be given to whoever finds her mother.
