DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Huskies are one step closer to the Northwoods League Summer Collegiate World Series.
On Monday, Duluth completed the sweep of the La Crosse Loggers in their best of three game first round series, 8 to 0.
Sean Waits was dealing on the bump for Duluth as he tossed nine shutout innings and struck out six.
The Huskies will next face either the St. Cloud Rox or the Mankato MoonDogs in the semifinals on Wednesday.
If St. Cloud wins on Tuesday, then they will host Duluth on Wednesday.
If Mankato wins on Tuesday, then the Huskies will get to host on Wednesday.
