Camper Crashes on Tower Avenue

SUPERIOR, Wisc. — Traffic was delayed in Superior after a towable camper flipped August 12th.

The accident happened on Tower Ave in Superior, near the Richard I. Bong Airport, as a sedan made contact with the camper, causing it to roll.

On investigation, it was determined that the driver of the sedan was in possession of a “suspected controlled substance”, and had admitted to using the substance earlier in the day, along with drinking alcohol in the hours before driving.

The driver of the sedan was taken was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and cited for several traffic-related offences.
