Proctor Football Hoping Experience & Numbers Lead to Bounce Back Season

Proctor begins the regular season August 29th at home versus Mora.

PROCTOR, Minn.- The Proctor football team is coming off a tough season.

With a decent amount of youth stepping into bigger roles, the Rails went 0-8 in 2024.

They even had to forfeit a Week 4 contest against Two Harbors due to a number of players being out with injuries.

Better things are ahead for the Rails though as they saw a boost in numbers this off-season plus they return some experience from a year ago.

“Two guys that have been with us all four years and have done a great job all summer, been here and having a great camp so far. Anthony Busam taking care of our skill guys. He’s a three-year started on two sides of the ball and Ryan Henrickson with our line. He really has grown and doing some great things leadership wise,” said head coach Matthew Krivinchuk.

“I think our run game is going to look really good this year. We have a really good running back core. Our wide receiver core is really good. We have a quarterback who’s looking really good, Logan. So I think we can really get it all done on offense. We’ll have a really good scheme going on and I think defenses will be confused,” added senior Anthony Busam.
