Girls Soccer: Duluth East Improves to 2-0, Denfeld Shuts Out Grand Rapids

Opening week for prep soccer in Minnesota continued on Friday afternoon.

DULUTH, Minn.- Both the Duluth East and Duluth Denfeld girls soccer teams picked up home wins on Friday afternoon.

The Greyhounds improved to 2-0 on the season by defeating Woodbury 2-0.

Julia Davis and Darby Friday were the goal-scorers for Duluth East.

Duluth East will next host Roseville on Tuesday.

Across town, Duluth Denfeld blanked Grand Rapids 4-0 in their home and season opener.

The Hunters (1-0) will play Roseville on Monday.
