3rd Annual Clover Valley Farm Festival

TWO HARBORS, Minn. – The third annual Clover Valley Farm Fest brought people together in Two Harbors today, celebrating the end-of-season harvest.

Held at Agate Acres Farm, the annual festival features over 25 vendors, including the Clover Valley Farm Trail, a co-operative group of local farms located between Duluth and Two Harbors.

“This helps people become aware of what they can get locally, and they can meet some of the artisans,” said Pat Berger, organizer for Clover Valley Farm Trail.

Organizers say, although it’s not common for many people to attend events in the rural area, over 700 people showed up to shop for locally made and grown goods, listen to live music, watch live demonstrations, and order from a variety of food trucks.

“I think people really like the connection,” said Lisa Ingemansen, co-founder of Little Italy Farms. “I think they like to see a face with a grower, and they like to know where their food is coming from, and for us, we love that connection. It brings just so much more meaning to what we do, and just to be a part of their part of their dinner is just a real pleasure.”

The event highlights months and sometimes a year’s worth of work from planting to harvesting, spinning yarn to knitting, forging metal into art, and creating goods for people to take home.

“It’s a story, like it’s not just food,” Alessandro Cembran, co-founder of Little Italy Farms.

If you were not able to attend the festival, Clover Valley Farm Trail will be continuing its regular Sunday farmers’ market until October.
