DULUTH, Minn. — Madeline Manion from the Duluth Figure Skating Club has officially become a United States Figure skating Double Gold Medalist.

Manion earned that achievement after passing the USFS Gold Singles Test at Skate St. Paul over the weekend.

Fewer than 3 percent of figure skaters nationwide earn the distinction of Double Gold Medalist.

The Gold Singles test is considered the ultimate show of competitive skating skill.

This extraordinary accomplishment comes on the heels of Madeline’s recent victory as Senior Women’s State Champion.

DFSC Director, Alyssa Judnick praised Manion’s accomplishment, saying “Passing the Gold Singles test is the ultimate goal for competitive skaters and represents a level of excellence few achieve. Madeline’s dedication, precision, and passion for the sport make her success truly remarkable and an inspiration to the entire skating community.”
