Steelers Release Former UMD Offensive Lineman Aiden Williams

Williams is now free to sign with any of the other 31 NFL teams or could revert back to Pittsburgh's practice squad.

PITTSBURGH, Penn.- Former UMD offensive lineman Aiden Williams’ dream of making an NFL roster has hit a road block.

Ahead of cutdown day on Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers released the guard after originally signing him back on April 26th.

Williams played in the team’s first preseason game against the Jaguars on August 9th.

But was sidelined for the next two preseason contests after dealing with a leg injury.

He is now free to sign with any of the other 31 NFL teams or could revert back to Pittsburgh’s practice squad.
