Lzzy Hale talks about Halestorm’s upcoming concert at AMSOIL Arena & playing Ozzy’s last show
DULUTH, Min. – Halestorm will be performing September 27, 2025 at AMSOIL Arena.
The Halestorm tour is supporting of their latest album release Everest.
They are co-billed with Lindsey Stirling on this part of the tour. Lzzy and Lindsey had a big song together more than 10-years ago called “Shatter Me”.
It went platinum, but it took this long for Lzzy and Lindsey’s schedules to mesh-up for a tour.
Lzzy told FOX21, “So it’s finally, finally, kind of coming into fruition. And we both had the time and and the space for it. And we also have our friends Apocalyptica out with us. So it’s going to be a really interesting tour. I’m really looking forward to it, because it’s such a different flavor than than what we normally do where it’s like if we have a couple bands with us, they’re usually [a] four piece band… So this is going to be really special.”
Lzzy says each one of their shows has a different order of songs. They’re not playing the same set list from show to show.
She says the whole band thinks they owe it to the fans.
“We live for making moments that maybe will never happen again. So, so every show is very individual. It’s kind of like, you know, you jump off a cliff together in the beginning of the night, and you hope you pack each other’s parachutes, right? You know, it’s always, it’s always very exciting. And the the audience is the special sauce.”
Their new album Everest was produced in a different way than other albums.
Producer Dave Cobb did not want to use any pre-produced tracks or demos. The band just started playing and recording ideas and concepts live.
Hale said, “The very first song we wrote with him was ‘Darkness Always Wins’ and as we were writing the song, we’re recording in real time.”
She added the album was a little dark but also hopeful, “I feel like we were trying to rekindle some kind of faith in humanity, and also faith in ourselves and and see, you know, just, you know, navigating these crazy times that we’re living in.”
Over the summer, Halestorm had the honor of performing Ozzy Osbourne’s last show called “Back To The Beginning”.
Lzzy said it was incredible, “I don’t think we’ll ever experience anything quite like that. Whereas, you know, everybody on stage, off stage watching at home. Everybody was on the same wavelength.” She continued, “It’s like we were all clapping, and you knew that, like, this is the last time We’re clapping with Ozzy. So everyone’s just then getting emotional about it, and everyone that you’re looking around, everybody’s crying. All of our eyes were sweating.”
