Ski Hut And Chester Bowl Host 4th Annual Fundraising Party
DULUTH, Minn. — For the 4th year running, Ski Hut threw a party for a good cause.
The ski shop and Chester Bowl hosted “Cheers to Chester” at Bent Paddle Sep. 4. This year the event, which is a part of park’s “Growing Up Chester” fundraising campaign, was being used to help gather donations in order to renovate and expand the Chester Bowl ski chalet, which the current programs offered there are beginning to outgrow.
Attendees were greeted with bluegrass and a raffle from Ski Hut, who’s partnership with Chester Bowl runs deeper than business.
“Ski Hut’s been sponsoring this event for four years, but the relationship goes back so much farther,” said Chester Bowl Executive Director Dave Schaeffer. “Wes Neustel, who started Ski Hut, was one of the first donors to our campaign, that he made before he died a few years back, Ski Hut has also contributed $30,000 to our campaign. So, the Ski Hut community, the Chester Bowl community, are so intertwined, and they’ve been generational supporters of what we do.”
The good news is that the project is over 90% funded, and you can help Chester Bowl across the finish line at this link, or on their website.
