Superior Fire Department Hosts Car Seat Safety Clinic
SUPERIOR, Wis. – When a parent is driving, the most precious cargo is their children, and keeping them safe starts with proper car seats.
The Superior Fire Department and Safe Kids Northeast Minnesota held their monthly car seat safety clinic earlier this evening. The program aims to teach parents and caregivers how to properly install car seats and learn what seats work best for their kids. The events are held multiple times a month in Superior, Duluth, and Cloquet, ensuring people throughout the Northland have accessibility.
“I personally have seen car seats save children’s lives in accidents, and when you see the end result like that, it can make you very, very passionate about ensuring that they’re riding in the proper seat,” said Battalion Chief Joe Tribbey, Superior Fire Department.
The Fire Department encourages people to stop in during these clinics to ask questions, have their car seats checked, and learn about proper installation.
