Lockdown Cleared at Denfeld High School
DULUTH, Minn. — Denfeld High School has been cleared after a lockdown on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, at 10:43 a.m., the school went into a precautionary lockdown after a student with a felony warrant was arrested.
The felony warrant was for 2nd Degree Assault and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. No weapon was on campus, according to police.
The lockdown was lifted after 12 minutes.
“The school followed our standard response protocols and is committed to keeping families informed,” said Denfeld Principal Tom Tusken. “We want thank the staff and students who reported the potential threat to administrators. We are proud of the work our students are doing and have done in regards to openly communicating with us when there are concerns.”
