1 Dead, Suspect Arrested In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Duluth

UPDATE: The Duluth Police Department has arrested a 35-year-old man from Superior on preliminary charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation in Thursday’s fatal hit-and-run investigation.

The victim is identified as 37-year-old Mathias Turbes.

DULUTH, Minn. — A 37-year-old man is dead after a hit and run in Gary New Duluth Thursday morning.

According to officials, at around 6:30 a.m., police responded to the report of a man who was found dead in the road on 101st Avenue West.

Officials say that early investigations show the man may have been hit by a vehicle.
