6th Annual Chip Fore Change Golf Event

ChippingforechangeDULUTH, Minn. — The gorgeous weather made it a great day to golf for a good cause at the 6th Annual Chip Fore Change golf event.

Proceeds benefit the Downtown Duluth outreach team.

The team helps individuals facing homelessness.

Their goal was to raise 45 thousand dollars while having a fun day for everyone.

Around 100 golfers and dozens of sponsors were out showing their support.

“This is something that, you know, everybody can have fun going out and golfing, but they also realize the true cause behind this, and it’s getting people to support outreach, and that means us helping people, perhaps get into housing or into treatment on the street, as well as helping our businesses deal with any issues that may be affecting them on the street.” said Kristi Stokes, President of Downtown Duluth.

There was also dinner, a silent auction, and prizes for the teams, including a $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one on the 10th hole.
