I-535 Blatnik Bridge Closing Overnight

TWIN PORTS – Starting at 9 tonight, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be closing the northbound I-535 at the Blatnik Bridge.

The closures include Hammond Avenue and the Highway 53 ramp in Superior. There is a detour in place directing traffic to Highway 2 Bong Bridge. This allows crews to complete lane reconfiguration work as part of the Twin Ports Interchange Project.

The northbound I-535 will reopen to a single lane tomorrow at 5 a.m., with a possibility of the off-ramp onto Garfield Avenue from the Blatnik Bridge reopening.
