Police: Man Shoots Through Downtown Duluth Business During Burglary

DULUTH, Minn. — A 36-year-old man is accused of shooting out the front glass door of a downtown Duluth business before stealing items inside.

According to officials, on Sunday at 1:20 a.m., they responded to reports of a burglary at Namasté Gifts and Healing on the corner of 4th Avenue and West Superior Street.

Once on scene, police found broken glass and shell casings on the sidewalk. Officers then cleared the building, finding no one inside.

After watching surveillance footage, police identified a 36-year-old male suspect.

The man was located and arrested shortly after, and was in possession of items stolen from the business, according to police.

Nobody was injured.

The man faces pending charges of 1st Degree Burglary, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

FOX 21 does not normally name suspects until they are formally charged.
