UMD Men’s Hockey Names Joey Pierce Captain for 2025-2026 Season

Pierce is the first Hermantown Hawk to be named the Bulldogs captain since Adam Krause during the 2015 season.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team has announced their captains for the upcoming season.

Repping the “C” patch will be defenseman Joey Pierce.

He’s the first Hermantown Hawk to be named the Bulldogs captain since Adam Krause during the 2015 season.

As for the alternates they will be Kyler Kovich, Aaron Pionk, Ty Hanson, and lastly Max Plante.

UMD opens the season on October 3rd at Alaska Fairbanks.
