S.S Meteor Hosts Evening Remembering “The Mighty Fitz”
SUPERIOR, Wis. — Superior locals were invited to the S.S Meteor in order to honor the S.S Edmund Fitzgerald.
The event was part of Superior Historic Properties’ “History Talks” series, with this evening’s showcase involving the history of the Fitzgerald.
While this specific evening was all about the 50 years since the “The Mighty Fitz” sank, the series itself covers nearly anything and everything to do with history in Superior.
“We’ve done topics about historical fashion, the Pattison family, who were really impactful to Fairlawn mansion here in superior, to Victorian era death traps, and to this one, our next installment here in September was all about honoring the legacy of the Edmund Fitzgerald” said Jordan Stish, a museum manager with Superior Historic Properties.
The next event in the “History Talks” series is a “Haunted History Talks” at Fairlawn Mansion on Oct. 13.
