Stabbing at a Sunday wedding

ANGORA TOWNSHIP, Min. – A man is accused of getting into a fight at a wedding and stabbing an attendee.

Court documents allege Nathan John Polzin got into a disagreement at wedding in Angora Township the evening of September 21, 2025.

A witness told deputies Polzin pulled a knife on the victim and began fighting.

The witness says Polzin and the victim were separated and then Polzin allegedly threw something at the victim which was believed to be a knife.

The witness also said Polzin threaten them saying. “I’m going to smash your brains in.”

The victim was treated at a hospital for lacerations on the bicep, finger and hand.

The victim told deputies the fight was over a girl and this was not the first time Polzin had allegedly stabbed him.

Polzin has been charged with Felony 2nd Degree Assault and Felony Threats of Violence.

Polzin was released from the St. Louis County Jail on September 24.

His initial appearance in court is slated for Monday, September 29.
