NERCC escapee believed to be headed towards Iron Range authorities say
SAGINAW, Minn — The hunt is still on for an inmate who escaped from the Northeast Regional Corrections Center (NERCC) on Tuesday.
Officials say Michael Hart was last seen in the area of Hwy. 8 and Hwy. 53.

Officials believe that Hart will try to make his way back to the Iron Range, where he has connections
Two accomplices in Harts escape have been identified and arrested.
One of the accomplices, Devone Shackelton, has since been charged with aiding an offender and lodged at the jail.
As of Wednesday, officials say the search is moving from an active search to an ongoing investigation.
Hart was previously arrested in July for a break-in and assault.
