Northland College Campus listed for sale after May closure

ASHLAND, Wis — The former Northland College campus in Ashland has been listed for sale.

New York-based real estate company Newmark has announced that they are the sole listing advisor for the sale of the campus.

The 100-acre campus in Ashland announced early this year that, following the conclusion of the academic year, it would shut down.

Last spring, the college announced it was severely struggling financially and that it needed to raise $12 million dollars to figure out a new Northland College going forward.  More than 1,000 donors responded to the campus’s fundraising appeal, and the college reduced costs by limiting their academic offerings and cutting staff.

The campus has 19 buildings with a wide range of facilities, including a community center with a fully equipped kitchen, residence halls, a modern science building, an environmental retreat center, a university-quality stadium, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and more.
