Body Electric hosts the Gothic Ball

 

DULUTH,MINN- Body Electric celebrated the kick off to Spooky Season with the Gothic Ball on Saturday night. This is their third year hosting the event. Body electric is a performing company in the Twin Ports who perform at local gatherings. The money raised in the event will go to Body Electric to continue to do more shows throughout the year.

People in the community gathered at the Duluth Depot dressed in their best gothic attire.  The audience was dazzled by a variety show performed by local artist. Local business Creepy Cute Crafts and local group Twin Ports Horror Society were vendors at the event to show off their art and Knick knacks; a long with a mini bar close by.

Director of the Gothic Ball and performer Suzy Jezierski says, this is an opportunity for adults to dress up. “Our goal is to have a fantastic event. To bring some joy around the community and to celebrate the weridos.” Says Jezierski.

She then goes on to to say,  this event is ” To give a platform for artist to perform and show case their creativity and their talents.” She highly encourages everyone interested to go to shows and support art. Just showing up keeps shows alive in the community.

If you’re interested in seeing Body Electric perform, they plan on performing three shows in October. RuPaul Drag Race winner BeBe Zahara Benet will be making an appearance at Duluth Cider on the 16th.  Another show will be at the Gopher Bar on the 25th and The Main Club in Superior on Halloween night.
