Drag Racing Returns to the Streets of Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. — The nation’s only legal 1/8-mile drag race on a public street was back in Duluth this weekend burning rubber.

The weather was perfect for those engines to rev up and take on Garfield Avenue.

Drivers come down all over the place, like Canada, Iowa, the Dakotas and Wisconsin.

The drag race was put on hold for five years during the Twin Ports Interchange construction.
