Jeffery Boucher takes over as Interim County Attorney

CARLTON COUNTY, Minn. — Carlton County has a new interim attorney.

Jeffery Boucher has been sworn in as the county attorney.

He’ll be finishing the term of Lauri Ketola who announced her resignation over the summer.

Boucher has working in the attorney’s office for 13 years and has been working with Ketola to ensure a smooth transition.

“I feel excited about the future. We have a wonderful team in the Carlton County attorney’s office. I’m honored to continue the legacy of Carlton County attorney Lauri Ketola. Look forward to stewarding her work and really appreciate the opportunity to serve our community.” said Jeffery Boucher, Interim Carlton County Attorney.

Boucher was voted in by the Carlton County Board to take the position.

He will serve as county attorney until the election next year.
