Bus Shelter Receives Colorful Makeover; First of Many
DULUTH, Minn.– The bus shelter on 6th avenue east and 3rd street in Duluth just got way more colorful, to celebrate and acknowledge local artists in the area.
For this opportunity, Zeitgeist is partnering with the Duluth Transit Authority to beautify the city.
This project is to help encourage ridership, all while showcasing local talent.
Tiffany Fenner, the mastermind behind this piece, says it represents the movement and stories of people who reside in the area.
And to finally see the finished product in person, she says, it speaks volumes.
“It really has a sense of belonging. It says that creativity is alive here, and it’s really kind of a declaration of the community’s voices and our stories that are important. And I’m really honored to to share this art. It’s not just my art, it’s our art. It’s rooted in community voices and stories,” said Tiffany Fenner, the bus shelter artist.
The bus shelter is just one in seven current projects zeitgeist is working on.
Other than art, they’re keeping busy with reimagining safety, and convenience for roads and pedestrians in the northland.
