Lake Superior College Hosts Student Success Day

DULUTH, Minn. — Wednesday, classes at Lake Superior College were dismissed to give students the full scope of what the campus offers.

Student success day is held twice a year at the college, and it celebrates all things success.

The event gives participants the opportunity to learn about campus services, such as tutoring and advising.

The event featured a clothing swap, a mock C-section surgery and various nonprofit organizations.

Being able to set up students for success, means a lot for the organizers.

“It shows that we’re a community here and that we really are just we really want to help students, and we really want to get students to where they need to be. So today is a great day to just explore other avenues, other programs and other things that are going on in the community and make connections,” Nicola Scott, LSC Tutoring and Learning Center.

While primarily for current LSC students, the event also welcomes students from other colleges like UMD and St. Scholastica.
